Beatrix Potter
Who doesn't adore Peter Rabbit and all that's Beatrix Potter? Our whole family is smitten with her delightful characters. Beatrix had such a gentle, humorous, and articulate manner in bringing her little animals to life. She never talks down to children, not with that Victorian vocabulary. This combined with her lilting storytelling sings to anyone's heart. I especially admire her stubborn ideal for detail. She refused to make Jeremy Fisher a green frog. She be-speckled him exactly the way he was meant to be! She'll always be a gift and a heroine to the woodland nature she loved so much....and to all children she sought to cheer.
